Fishers basement fire extinguished quickly
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH)- A basement fire was short work for the Fishers Fire Department on Sunday morning.
Fishers fire crews responded to a call of a fire at the 9700 block of Woodlands Drive at approximately 10:36 a.m.
Fire officials reported that the fire took eight minutes to extinguish, however the estimated cost of damage was $80,000.
No fire alarm went off, but the homeowners reported calling 911 after smelling smoke and leaving the house for safety.
Fishers officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
