The biggest threats will be damaging wind, large hail, and flash flooding.
There was plenty of lightning around Indianapolis before Daybreak. A WISH-TV tower camera captured some of the flashes over downtown before heavy rain moved in.
Thursday morning’s weather prompted a number of power outages in the area. In Hendricks County, Duke Energy reported around 1,100 people were without power at 7 a.m. Just under 200 Indianapolis Power and Light Company customers were without power at that same time.
A flash flood watch is in place for extreme northern parts of central Indiana until 8 p.m. Thursday.
