FOP honors fallen officers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Hoosiers honored the sacrifices of Indiana police officers on Wednesday night.

This was the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service in downtown Indianapolis.

The ceremony honored three fallen officers by name.

But this was designed as a tribute to every officer who’s been killed in the line of duty.

“You realize the sacrifice they’ve made, their families made, because we don’t want their families to ever, ever be forgotten. We take care of them,” said Tim Downs with the Fraternal Order of Police.

Sheri Bradway said her son, Rod, made her family proud by his service.

But she said the name doesn’t matter, they all deserve respect for their sacrifice
