Fort Eustis on precautionary lockdown; reports of shots fired confirmed
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Fort Eustis has been placed on precautionary lockdown, officials confirm.
Officials at Fort Eustis say that this is not an active shooter situation.
Joint Base Langley-Eustis issued a news release around 12:30 p.m. that confirmed shots were fired outside of building 650 at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Security forces are on the scene now.
Officials say there have been no reports of injuries.
