Franklin students report social media threats

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – Students within Frankin Community Schools are being praised for their work in reporting a school threat.

Students told administrators around 11 p.m. Thursday that threats were being made by a classmate on Twitter.

The district says police interviewed the student who made the post. They found the threat was not credible.

Police released the student to a parent.

School leaders say that as a precaution, there will be an increased police presence throughout the district until school ends next week.
