FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A woman is in serious condition after being stabbed by her sister, according to Fort Wayne police.
Police responded to a second-story apartment at East Center Towers and Gardens, 905 East Washington Boulevard, around 2:30 a.m. for a reported stabbing.
Officers at the scene said two sisters were arguing in their apartment when one sister stabbed the other at least three times in the upper body.
Paramedics took the victim to the hospital in serious condition.
The suspect was apprehended by police and taken for questioning by detectives.
Police said there might have been other people in the apartment at the time of the incident, but they left before police arrived.
The incident is under investigation.
