Gleaners Food Bank receives $10k grant

ARLINGTON, Va. (WISH) — Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana has been named as the recipient of a $10,000 grant.

Gleaners is one of 10 charitable organizations to be named as recipients of the grant from CSX Transportation and the Conservation Fund.

“The grant funding provided to Gleaners from the CSX Healthy Food and Transportation Program will help purchase Icey-Tek coolers to support the Senior Mobile Pantry pilot program,” said Cindy Hubert, president and CEO of Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. “These coolers will bring temperature-safe foods to seniors struggling with access to highly nutritious foods.”

Also receiving grants are organizations in Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Tennessee.
