INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Governor Eric Holcomb has admitted to smoking marijuana in college.
The governor made the statement during an interview with several reporters Wednesday.
The admission came after the governor was asked about medical marijuana and why Indiana seems hesitant to allow it even though other states have moved forward with legalization.
Holcomb said he’s not sure other states have made a wise decision either short-term or long-term.
He also said he wants to stay in line with federal law.
He says if federal law changed, Indiana would look at all the positive or negative affects legalization would have on the people of Indiana.
Holcomb has said in the past he doesn’t want doctors and physicians to become dispensaries for marijuana.
