INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A grandmother was taken to a hospital after a Jeep crashed into an apartment Wednesday afternoon on the northwest side.

Indianapolis Fire Department was sent to a report of a structure collapse shortly before 2:30 p.m. to the 5700 block of Renn Lane. That’s in the Colonial Square Apartments, southwest of the intersection of West 46th Street and Moller Road.

Members of the family who live in the apartment said four people, including the grandmother and her 3-month-old grandchild, were inside the home when the Jeep hit. The grandmother suffered an arm injury, but her condition was not immediately known.

The family members said the Jeep belongs to a neighbor.

Indianapolis Fire Department did not immediately respond to an email request for information on the crash.
