INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Greensburg Police Department is under investigation after cash was reported as missing from the department’s evidence room, Indiana State Police said Friday in a news release.
The investigation stems from a December 2014 incident in which there was a “discovery of several discrepancies concerning evidence,” ISP said.
Details including the amount, as well as any court cases involving the missing evidence have not been released. The investigation includes an audit of the department, ISP said.
According to the release, the department remains under investigation. Officials will release the findings of the audit after the investigation concludes.
