MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Governor Eric Holcomb will Thursday join executives from Chicago-based Midwest Truck & Auto Parts Inc. to break ground on the company’s new facility in Merrillville. The aftermarket automotive components supplier says it plans to add up to 150 jobs in the Lake County city by the end of 2024.

Plans for the new facility were first announced in September. The company will occupy a 125,000-square-foot space at the AmeriPlex at the Crossroads Business Park, which is expected to be fully operational next year.

Midwest Truck says the facility will allow it to enhance efficiencies and meeting growing demand throughout the country.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m. Central Time in Merrillville.
