Harley-Davidson to sell electric bikes for kids

(CNN) — Harley-Davidson is looking to attract younger customers … much younger.

The motorcycle giant is buying StaCyc, which is known for its two-wheel electric bicycles for kids. ‘

There are two models of the bikes: the 12 and 16 Edrives. These vehicles max out at roughly 10 mph.

They cost between $649 and $699. Sales at Harley-Davidson dealerships should begin sometime after July.

Harley-Davidson hopes these electric bikes will offset the drop in sales of old-style bikes.
