Home Depot updates local veterans facility

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A transitional housing facility for veterans feels more like home now, thanks to some volunteers from Home Depot.

More than 30 volunteers worked to give the Indianapolis veterans facility, Lyter House, an update.

The main work they did was in the kitchen. Volunteers painted, put in new cabinets, appliances, a sink and new flooring. Six homeless vets live in Lyter House.

Home Depot has renovated about 15,000 homes across the country. Many of the company’s associates are veterans.
