Hot and muggy weekend continues, rain returns Monday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Hot end to the weekend with rain chances returning to start the work week.

TONIGHT: It was a hot day today with highs tapping out in the lower 90s and upper 80s. An isolated shower or two can produce this evening with heavy downpours possible with these slow moving storms.

A mostly dry and clear night for all of us with an overnight low of 71°.

TOMORROW: Another hot day on tap tomorrow with expected highs in the lower 90s again.

A fairly nice, but muggy day with a mix of sun and clouds. An isolated storms can be expected with daytime heating tomorrow evening.

The low will be in the lower 70s.

MONDAY: Better rain chances start with the beginning of the work week. Scattered showers and storms expected for the evening hours. A hot day with another high around 90° to fuel the PM storms.

A marginal severe weather threat is present for the northwestern region of the state with the main concern being damaging winds and hail.

8-DAY FORECAST: The best chance for rain this coming week is on Tuesday with a chance of showers and storms planned all day. The low will drop after the cold front bringing the rain passes through the state to a couple degrees below average with highs in the low 80s by Wednesday.

Rain will clear out mostly for the end of the work week with a slight chance of a shower on Friday. High temperatures go back to normal for the weekend with mid 80s and partly cloudy conditions.
