How did that town get that name? Phil is going to find out

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — You’ve probably noticed them on maps all across Indiana.

All across the Hoosier State, you’ll find communities with names that seem to stick out.

Places like Hoosierville, Gnaw Bone, French Lick and Santa Claus.

But how did those places get those names?

News 8’s Phil Sanchez has spent the last couple of months traveling across the state to find out.

Beginning Thursday night at 6 p.m., Phil will share what he learned about these communities.
