INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Try something new with popcorn balls in this recipe presented on Monday’s “All Indiana.”
This recipe makes 10 popcorn balls.
1/4 cup butter
2 cups marshmallows, roughly chopped
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. sea salt
5 cups popped popcorn
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 cup shelled pistachios, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup dried cranberries, coarsely chopped
- In a 4-to-6-quart heavy saucepan, combine butter, marshmallows, cinnamon and salt.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes. Turn off heat and add popcorn, vanilla extract, pistachios and cranberries.
- Stir well, mixing until uniform. Use a 1/2-cup measuring cup to portion out the mixture into 10 balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
- Let cool completely and serve.
