Huge sinkhole opens in North Knox County following heavy rain, flooding
A huge sinkhole opened Tuesday afternoon in North Knox County following this weekend’s heavy rain and flooding.
The hole was reported on Greenwell Road in North Knox County. Mayor Glenn Jacobs tweeted a photo showing the immense size of the hole.
“I mean I’ve been with the county for 20 years, and there’s only been a handful of ones we’ve seen like this so this is very abnormal and something we are not accustomed to. That’s why we brought in some experts to give us a hand with that,” said Public Works Supervisor Jim Snowden.
