I-65 SB lane shifts in Tippecanoe Co. begin
TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Changes are coming to the traffic patterns in the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 in Tippecanoe County.
The Indiana Department of Transportation said beginning Wednesday southbound traffic will start to be diverted onto the new median lanes from the Wabash River Bridge to about one mile north of the State Road 26 Exit. Crews will start moving the left southbound lane first, then move the right lane beginning on Monday, July 11.
State Road 25 ramps will continue to be accessible from I-65’s right southbound lane, INDOT officials said.
The closure is due to reconstruction on the southbound lanes. The northbound lanes will not be affected.
Nighttime work occurs between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
