I-65 weekend closures set to begin

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana Department of Transportation is back to its scheduled weekend closures along I-65 on the city’s south side.

Starting at 9 a.m. Friday, all northbound lanes will be shut down from I-465 to the south split.

Then beginning at 9 p.m. Friday night, three northbound lanes will be closed on I-65 from Southport Road to I-465. The exit ramps to I-465 will be open in both directions.

Additionally, INDOT will shut down all northbound lanes from south split too the north split.

All lanes are scheduled to be reopened 6 a.m. Monday morning.

The scheduled closures are for patching, repaving and bridge repairs.

The lane closures were moved a week due to rain last weekend.
