I-69 reopens after 2 semis crash

VAN BUREN, Ind. (WISH) — Northbound Interstate 69 has reopened in northern Grant County after two semitractor-trailers collided late Thursday afternoon, Indiana State Police said.

The crash closed I-69 and restricted traffic for several hours.

A trooper with the state police’s Peru District said at least one man was taken from the crash by medical helicopter. Information was not immediately available on the man’s condition or to which hospital he was taken.

The crash occurred about 5:25 p.m. at the 271-mile marker.

No other information on the crash was immediately available.
