IMPD: 2 hurt, 1 critically, after truck hits tree
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Emergency crews responded to the near west side of Indianapolis Thursday morning after a serious crash was reported.
It happened just before 4 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 10th Street, near White River Parkway. This is not far from Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department dispatch, the crash involved a vehicle that hit a tree.
An IMPD spokesman said two people were injured in the crash and that one of the victims was in critical condition. Both were transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital nearby.
Police say intoxication is suspected in the crash. The IMPD spokesman said he believes the driver, Nolan Clayton, will be arrested for DUI causing injury.
