IMPD arrests person in connection to Broad Ripple murder
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -An arrest has been made in a Broad Ripple murder from early October.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force made the arrest Wednesday morning.
The murder happened on Oct. 3 in Broad Ripple.
Police say a fight led to the shooting that left 23-year-old Tre Spencer dead and 22-year-old Shaquille Potts hospitalized.
Police have arrested 23-year-old Marcus Barnes.
He faces preliminary charges of murder and battery with a deadly weapon.
Police believe the shooting stemmed from a long feud between the involved individuals. The argument started when the individuals met inside a nightclub in Broad Ripple.
They carried the fight outside and it ended with shots being fired.
