IMPD investigating Jimmy John’s robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for help locating a robbery suspect.

IMPD says, on June 4 at approximately 6:15 p.m., the suspect entered the Jimmy John’s located in the 100 block of North Illinois Street, approached the employee at the register and acted as a paying customer. However, the suspect proceeded to draw a hangun and demanded the employee open the register.

The suspect then proceeded to withdraw all the money from two registers and then exited the restaurant.

The suspect is described as black male between 35 and 40 years old, standing 6 feet 4 inchess tall and weighing 220 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing blue sweatpants, black sunglasses, a black shirt and a black hoodie.
