IMPD investigating near north side shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is looking into an overnight shooting on the city’s near north side.
According to IMPD, officers were called to the area of 38th and Illinois streets just after 12:30 a.m. for a report of a person shot.
Police said one man was shot in the arm behind a CVS pharmacy and then walked to a nearby McDonald’s, where police found the male victim.
The search is underway for the suspect in the shooting. Officers said that following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan.
Officers are reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
The victim is expected survive his injuries. However, officers have said the victim is not cooperating.
