IMPD: Man lying in road hit, in critical condition

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One man is in critical condition following an accident on the city’s southwest side.

According to IMPD, officers responded to reports of a person struck in the 3000 block of South Mooresville Road just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.

The man was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses told police the man was lying down in the northbound lane of Mooresville Road when he was hit. He’s believed to have been intoxicated.

Police said the driver stayed on scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
