IMPD seeks help locating vehicle, suspect connected to fatal shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for assistance in finding a suspect and a vehicle connected to a deadly shooting.
According to IMPD, the shooting happened Saturday, August 13 around 10 p.m. at the Conoco gas station in the 4100 block of East 16th Street.
After arriving on scene, police discovered 16-year-old Theothus Carter just outside the passenger side of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The teen was soon pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have now said they are looking for a black 2015 Kia Sorento. Police said the Sorento pulled up to the victim’s car, which was parked next to the fuel pump. The driver then proceeds to get out and shoots into the victim’s car.
