IMPD: Wig-wearing suspect shoots siblings
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man was arrested after two people were shot on the near east side of Indianapolis Monday morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said.
IMPD arrested 56-year-old Michael Love on two preliminary counts of aggravated battery and one count of criminal recklessness.

The shooting happened around 9:40 a.m. in the 300 block of Eastern Avenue, which is near East Michigan and North Rural streets.
According to IMPD, an officer was flagged down by a person stating they heard gunshots in the area. The officer arrived at the location and found two people had been shot.
Police say 32-year-old Sultanna Reed, of Indianapolis, was shot multiple times and 25-year-old Zachariah Guyton, also of Indianapolis, was shot once. Both were transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
Neighbors told 24-Hour News 8 they believed the incident involved a domestic dispute. Police later said the two people that had been shot were a brother and a sister and that the suspect was believed to be wearing a wig and a dress.“She said he did it, he did it, I knew it was him,” said Aisha Owens-Rashid.
Owens-Rashid comforted Reed and Guyton as she waited for police to arrive.
“I think it is crazy and barbaric. What gives people the right to play God ’cause you mad that someone doesn’t want to be with you anymore?” said Owens-Rashid.
Police are waiting for the victims to positively identify Love before releasing his mugshot.
Police say the suspect came up to the vehicle the victims were in and started shooting. A third person was loading five children into the car at the time. They were all unharmed.
The suspect was seen fleeing the area on foot and then got into a vehicle. Officers stopped a vehicle in the 4300 block of Audubon Road and detained a person of interest.
