Indiana Members Credit Union volunteers fill 5K backpacks for kids
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Five thousand backpacks for kids in need were stuffed Saturday
It was all thanks to the Indiana Members Credit Union.
The organization invited its employees to volunteer to spend a couple of hours stuffing those packs and they showed up in force.
This is the 16th year the credit union has done a backpack stuff.
The companies foundation raises money throughout the year to be able to buy the backpacks and supplies that go inside.
The packs will go to students in 13 IPS schools this week.
The highlight of the day was George Hill coming out to play ball and sign autographs with the kids.
