12-year-old dies in Owen County after weekend accident
OWEN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A 12 year-old died after being hit while riding his dirt bike this weekend in Owen County.
According to 24-Hour News 8 sister station, WTHI, the accident happened near Freedom Arney Road in Freedom, Indiana.
Officials report the 12-year-old entered the path of a pick-up truck while he was riding his dirt bike. The driver of the truck was unable to avoid a crash.
The 12-year-old was taken to a Bloomington hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
