Bicyclist hit by vehicle in Lafayette, killed

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) – A bicyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Lafayette Wednesday evening.

According to the Lafayette Police Department, officers responded to the area of South Creasy Lane near the intersection of Creasy Court just after 6:30 p.m.

Police believe 56-year-old Donald Stair, who was riding a bicycle, was traveling north on Creasy Lane when he was struck by a Chevy Silverado from behind.

The vehicle was being driven by 87-year-old John Roller.

Responding emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead on scene.
