Indiana Silver Alert canceled for 68-year-old missing from Mecca
UPDATE: The Silver Alert for Betty J. Capps was canceled on Sept. 18, 2023, at the direction of the Parke County Sheriff’s Department.
MECCA, Ind. (WISH) — The Parke County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of 68-year-old Betty J. Capps.
Capps was described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 180 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. Capps has a tattoo of a butterfly on her right leg.
Capps was missing from Mecca, Indiana, which is 64 miles east of Indianapolis. She was last seen on June 29, driving a gray 2007 Ford Focus, with Indiana license plate number 190TPH.
She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
