LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — State troopers found more than 250 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in the northeastern part of the state.

Indiana State Police say troopers pulled over a pickup truck for a moving violation Wednesday afternoon near mile marker 120 on the Indiana Toll Road in LaGrange County.

Troopers say a “free-air sniff” was conducted by a K9. A positive alert by the dog led to a search of the vehicle and the discovery of 259 pounds of marijuana.

Carlos Siva Rivas and Margarito Alvarez, both of Oregon, were arrested in the case on preliminary charges of dealing marijuana and possession of marijuana.
