Thousands stay in emergency shelters Thursday after Kokomo tornadoes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – More than 50 American Red Cross volunteers are helping the thousands of people who lost everything they own from the tornadoes that hit Howard, Montgomery, Allen, Wabash and Miami counties on Wednesday.

“The situation in Kokomo remains significant,” said Duchess Adjei, regional communication director for the American Red Cross. “People need help right now. And our help is just beginning. We will be there to help people recover in the weeks and months to come. We ask people to please consider making a financial donation to the Red Cross today to support the people of Kokomo.”
