Town marshal killed in Benton County crash

BENTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A Boswell, Indiana town marshal was killed in a Sunday morning crash in Benton County, according to the Indiana State Police.
Around 3:30 a.m., troopers responded to State Road 352 near County Road 500 East for a single-vehicle crash.
Police said the 2018 Dodge Ram driven by 34-year-old Kevin McCombs was headed west on State Road 352 as the vehicle, for an unknown reason, left the roadway, hit a utility pole and came to a stop in a field while approaching County Road 500 East.
Medical aid was provided to McCombs but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said McCombs was off duty at the time of the crash.
