Indianapolis nonprofits announce merger

INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Two longtime Indianapolis nonprofits are joining forces in what they’re calling an effort to better serve kids and families. Children’s Bureau and Families First say the merger will allow for more efficiency and impact since both organizations offer complementary services.

Children’s Bureau President Tina Cloer says the combined organization will be able to do more to prevent child abuse with family support from a variety of service providers. She says the merger will create a greater impact for those in need.

“Children’s Bureau and Families First were once part of the same organization and have long been aligned by missions and approaches,” said David Siler, president and chief executive officer Families First. “We’re pleased to reunite, combining our resources and expertise to make an even greater impact in the communities we serve.”

The nonprofits did not provide an estimated timeline for completion of the merger.
