Indiana’s biggest bounce house facility opens Saturday
MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana’s biggest bounce house facility will open its doors to families Saturday.
“Bouncyland,” 3501 N. Chadam Lane, is an indoor, two-story building and it’s not just filled with massive inflatable houses. They have arcade games, food and party space for groups of people to enjoy.
“The tallest would either be the T-Rex or the Fire Truck,” assistant manager Ashley Falkenstern said. “Those are both about 20 feet tall.”
There’s a bounce house attraction they call “The Bus” in the building that weighs over a thousand pounds and is roughly the same size as a Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) bus.
Falkenstern says there’s one reaction that she feels kids and parents will share once they’ve entered Bouncyland for the first time.
“Um wow,” she laughed.
The second floor has a separate toddler soft play area exclusively for kids ages 3 and under. They make sure that a staff member oversees the little ones in a controlled and safe environment. Parents are still required to watch their children, but they have staff on hand to regulate the area.
Meanwhile, with many parents are concerned about germs, especially with the recent spread of coronavirus, general manager Jennie Resler wanted to reassure them that Bouncyland will be safe place for their kids to play.
“We’ve got a new technology that is electrostatic cleaning and our bounce houses will deflate every night and will be cleaned every night,” Resler said.
With everything in place and the anticipation building in the community, the staff is ready to welcome their first groups of family and friends through their doors for the grand opening.
All Indiana reporter Randall Newsome asked what makes them the most excited and Falkenstern responded, “just seeing the kids all excited and eager to play.”
Bouncyland’s grand opening is happening at 10 a.m. Saturday and will stay open until 9 p.m.
