Indy 2020 agenda rolls out ahead of city’s bicentennial

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – As Indianapolis gets ready to celebrate its bicentennial, city leaders unveiled a new strategy today.

It’s called Indy 2020. The plan was rolled out at a downtown event Tuesday.

It’s a strategy created by various local agencies. The focus is to make the city a good place to live, work and play as it’s anniversary hits in four years.

The agenda was developed years ago, and Mayor Joe Hogsett is excited to see it through.

“The bicentennial agenda focuses on Indianapolis and our communities’ collective ability to make life better for residents, for business owners, today and in the near future,” Mayor Hogsett said.

While the plan will have an immediate impact, leaders hope it will shape the city for the next 100 years. If you’re interested in reading more, click here.
