Indy Parks seeks input from residents

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indy Parks and Recreation invites Indianapolis city residents to attend upcoming public meetings to voice their opinion on programs that should be offered and where the priorities of city dollars should be spent.

The department said these public meetings are held in each township as part of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Planning process designed to build a successful future for Indianapolis.

They said the consulting team will mail a survey to households throughout the city, conduct interviews and focus groups with the public, provide program and facility needs and review future demographic data, trends and usage statistics.

The assessment and plan are expected to be completed by December.

A website was launched to serve as a platform for the public to access information related to the project which includes: meeting details, technical reports and contact information. Click here to view the website and see upcoming public meetings.
