INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Indianapolis-based IMH Products Inc. has acquired Mainstay Manufacturing Solutions, formerly Fab2Order, in Brownsburg and has plans to hire additional employees. IMH, which manufactures sheet metal and machined parts, says it plans to move its current employees and Mainstay’s employees to its Columbia Avenue facility in Indy.

The manufacturer, which has facilities in Indianapolis and Illinois, says the acquisition and relocation will expand its capabilities and adds prototype and low-volume OEM work to its services. IMH says it will hire at least 20 welders, 20 skilled machinists and engineers.

“As we see U.S. companies continue to invest in manufacturing in the U.S., we see an opportunity for growth in this market,” said Eric Odmark, president of IMH. “With this acquisition we are now able to offer our customers greater capacity and capabilities, and can serve as a one-stop-shop for low and high volume metal parts.”

Odmark, along with Chief Operations Officer Mark Seger and General Manager Joe Gillen, purchased IMH in 2016. The company says it has grown from 30 employees to more than 130, expanded its square footage from 65,000 to 285,000 and invested $10 million in new equipment over the last four years.

“IMH’s diversified portfolio of customer’s and industries has performed well through the COVID related slow down. In the last few months we have seen a renewed interest in our customer’s ensuring their supply chain is healthy, and they have options to dual source key components,” said Odmark.

The company says the acquisition and the move are scheduled to be complete by January.
