CARMEL, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Carmel-based private investigations firm Veracity IIR is opening a new branch in the Purdue Technology Center in West Lafayette. The company says it has hired two law enforcement professionals who will work at the office when it opens later this month.

The new office will be led by former Tippecanoe County Sheriff and former Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent Tracy Brown. Rich Davies, a former SWAT Team member and instructor with the FBI, will also join the office.

“Tracy and Rich fit in perfectly with Veracity’s mission of providing the highest quality, unbiased investigations and security solutions” said Doug Kouns, co-founder of Veracity IIR. “Their extensive experience in investigations and finding “the truth,” allows our clients to make the right decisions. They are recognized experts in intelligence gathering and will help us effectively expand our reach throughout Indiana.”

The company says Brown has 32 years of experience in law enforcement and currently serves as a Tippecanoe County commissioner as well as chairman of the county’s republican party. He previously served two terms as the county’s sheriff.

Rich Davies spent 22 years with the FBI, contributing to several specialized areas. The company says he was also the team leader for the Indianapolis Special Operations Group.
