INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — A Seattle-based consulting firm has announced plans to expand its central Indiana operations. Milliman Inc. says it will invest more than $6 million to lease and equip space in the Market Tower building in downtown Indianapolis and create up to 95 jobs by the end of 2025.

The firm says the 50,000-square-foot space will allow it to better meet the needs of its growing client base and expand its services, including actuarial and business consulting. The expansion is Milliman’s third in Indianapolis since 2012.

“Milliman’s Indianapolis office has more than doubled in size in the last five years and continues to be a market leader, providing healthcare and insurance expertise and technology solutions to clients,” Milliman Principal Robert Damler said in a news release. “Milliman is committed to our growing business in central Indiana. We are excited to grow our team by nearly 100 professionals in the coming years, including hiring many graduates of Indiana’s colleges and universities.”

Milliman employs more than 160 people in Indiana and more than 4,000 around the globe. The company is currently hiring for actuarial, pharmaceutical and healthcare policy positions.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Milliman up to $2 million in conditional tax credits and training grants, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
