Fishers tech company lands federal designation
FISHERS, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Fishers-based Knowledge Services is celebrating a major recognition for its Software-as-a-Service cloud technology. The company says it has achieved the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Ready designation and is now one of three Hoosier companies listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace for federal agencies and government contractors.
The designation applies specifically to the company’s dotStaff platform, a government cloud-based vendor management system. Knowledge Services says the platform helps government clients manage workforce, vendors, and credentials, among other items.
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that, according to its website, provides a standardized approach to security authorizations for cloud service offerings. It was established 10 years ago “to provide a cost-effective, risk-based approach for the adoption and use of cloud services by the federal government.”
Knowledge Services says to achieve the FedRAMP Ready status, it had to demonstrate compliance with the program’s cybersecurity framework.
“As government continues to transition services to the cloud, the importance of ensuring cloud security is critical,” Joe Bielawski, president of Knowledge Services, said in a news release. “We appreciate the dedication of our InfoSec, IT and Development teams, who work every day to keep our systems secure and who embrace a culture of continual improvement.”
The company says the designation is the first step in its goal of achieving a FedRAMP Authorization. Just over 300 businesses and products are listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace.
