FISHERS, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – The Fishers Test Kitchen is calling all aspiring chefs interested in developing new food concepts. The restaurant accelerator has opened up applications for its next cohort of culinary experts to earn a place at the kitchen with hopes of eventually opening their own restaurant.

The call is open to restauranteurs, food truck operators, farmers’ market vendors, and others.

The test kitchen says it signs restaurant entrepreneurs to short-term contracts that allow for a changing line-up of chefs to cycle through the accelerator as they test new food concepts. It features three food stands within Sun King’s Innovation Brewery in The Yard at Fishers District.

Mayor Scott Fadness says the goal of the Fishers Test Kitchen is to improve the culinary ecosystem in the city by giving chefs and restaurateurs world-class spaces, coaching, and support.

“We are here to serve every Fishers resident, but we also recognize our role in supporting our growing innovation economy by giving startup and tech companies the local dining options they demand,” said Fadness.

The test kitchen says the next round of restaurant concepts will join Korave Korean BBQ, Lil Dumplings Global Street Food, and The Signature Table. Chefs can upload their menu, resume, and video to apply.
