WESTFIELD, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Construction has begun on the new, 70,000-square-food Westfield headquarters for Software Engineering Professionals (SEP), currently based in Carmel. Indianapolis-based commercial real estate developer Pure Development has broken ground on the $25 million project, which is expected to create up to 65 jobs over the next five years.

Pure Development says the three-story building will sit on 20 acres and feature a modern design. When the project was first announced in June, SEP said the facility would more than double its central Indiana footprint.

“We could think of no better partner to bring this vision to reality than the outstanding team at Pure Development,” Traci Dossett, chief operating officer for SEP, said in a news release. “Culture is such a critical component of our success and growth, and we really wanted a location and facility that allowed our team to connect with natural spaces and trails while also providing convenient access to amenities.”

Pure Development says the building will also include new post-pandemic features, such as touch-free building entry and increased HVAC protocols such as bipolar ionization.

Work on the building is expected to be complete next year.
