INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — The Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County’s Board of Trustees has appointed Paul Babcock as interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Babcock will begin September 14 to help with a successful transition as current President and CEO Matthew Gutwein leaves on September 30.
“We’re pleased to be moving forward with the transition process and will continue to proactively communicate our progress,” said Board of Trustees Chair Joyce Q. Rogers, Esq. “Paul Babcock is an accomplished health care leader and will serve our organization well while we search for a new President & CEO.”
Babcock currently is the Director of the Office of Public Health and Safety for Indianapolis. He manages the development of food and re-entry policy initiatives, along with overseeing the city’s public safety communications and other responsibilities.
A search committee made up of Carl Drummer, Ellen Quigley and Charles Eberhardt will conduct a nationwide search and identify the candidates.
