High Alpha co-founder to receive Trailblazer Award
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Indianapolis-based High Alpha co-founder Kristian Andersen will Thursday night receive the Trailblazer Award at the 21st annual TechPoint Mira Awards. The state’s technology initiative says the award “recognizes visionaries whose contributions have had lasting and significant impact on the state and its technology ecosystem.”
Prior to co-founding the venture studio, Andersen founded the Studio Science design and innovation consultancy, which he sold in 2019. He also co-founded Indy-based seed-stage venture firm Gravity Ventures.
During his career, Anderson has founded or co-founded a number of software companies, including Octiv, Lessonly, Visible and Pathagility. He is also the co-founder of The Speak Easy co-working space in Indy.
“Kristian is and has been central to Indianapolis’ startup community,” said Mike Langellier, chief executive officer of TechPoint. “Many prominent entities wouldn’t exist if not for him. He has vision to see the potential in people and organizations, a craftsmanship to distill and articulate that potential, a provocativeness that stirs people to act and think differently and a boldness to take chances on new things or people. I experienced it myself as a young professional new to Indy, and I still see it today.”
