Indianapolis firm awarded military contract

INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Indianapolis-based AAR Aircraft Services has been awarded a contract to provide various work for the U.S. Navy. The contract for more than $67.2 million calls for various maintenance and repair jobs to be done by AAR for the Navy, government of Australia and Foreign Military Sales customers.

Work includes certain modifications of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft, maintenance, airframe modifications, ground support and removing and replacing engines on the anti-submarine and and anti-surface aircraft.

All work will be done in Indianapolis and is expected to be complete by October 2021. The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland is the contracting activity.
