Indy restaurant groups detail face mask requirement
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — The parent companies of several well-known central Indiana restaurants will next week require all patrons to wear masks at their respective locations. Cunningham Restaurant Group and Huse Culinary say the goal is an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and “promote collaboration and consistency within all restaurants already adhering to mask mandates.”
The restaurant groups say patrons will not have to wear masks while eating. Individuals who are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition are being encouraged to wear a face shield.
Cunningham Restaurant Group owns and operates a number of restaurants, including Boulder Creek, Bru Burger Bar, Café 251, Charbonos, Livery, Mesh, Moerlein Lager House, Nesso Italian Kitchen, Provision, Rize, Stone Creek Dining Co., Tavern at the Point, Union 50 and Vida.
Restaurants in Marion County are already under a requirement announced earlier this month by Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. Cunningham says its requirement will also include its restaurants in Avon, Brownsburg, Carmel, Evansville, Lafayette, Noblesville and Plainfield.
“We would like to ask our loyal guests to help us keep our staff and our fellow patrons safe and healthy. We feel this is our best chance to control the spread of Covid-19 which will allow our staff to continue working and our restaurants to remain open,” said Mike Cunningham, chief executive officer of Cunningham Restaurant Group. “We appreciate your assistance in this matter and we all look forward to seeing you soon.”
Huse Culinary’s restaurants include 1933 Lounge, Burger Study, Harry & Izzy’s, The HC Tavern + Kitchen and St. Elmo Steak House. The restaurant group says its locations in Fishers will also be included.

Both Huse Culinary and Cunningham Restaurant Group are committed to reducing the spread of COVID-19 by asking patrons to join our employees in wearing face coverings.”
Both companies say their restaurants will continue to adhere to other safety practices, including social distancing, increased sanitization and frequent hand washing.
The face mask requirement will go into effect on Monday.
