INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Ivy Tech Community College will offer a full slate of in-person fall semester courses statewide beginning in August. Ivy Tech says students will continue to be provided with several course options, including online courses and other flexible delivery modes.

Ivy Tech is currently slowly increasing the number of classes being held in-person, as spring classes begin March 22, with an expected 25% of courses being offered in-person. The majority of the college’s summer classes begin June 7.

Ivy Tech President Sue Elspermann says the school is committed to being flexible with the return of students to classes.

“We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus over the coming months. We know that for many students, success happens best in an in-person setting and for some programs, it is a must to provide the proper hands-on experience and personal interactions. Ultimately, our goal is to enable our students’ success while providing them the safest, most accommodating learning environment.”

The first fall session begins Wednesday, Aug. 18. The community college says, at this time, facial coverings and social distancing will still be required.
