Jeffersonville Main Street creates grant fund

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Jeffersonville Main Street Inc. has created a crowdfunding campaign to fund the Downtown Jeffersonville Small Business Recovery Grant Program to help downtown small businesses. The group says the grants can be used for operational costs, rent, utilities or the development of an e-commerce site.

Jeffersonville Main Street Inc. is committing $10,000 to start the campaign. The maximum grant amount is $3,000, with a goal of raising $40,000.

“If we raise enough money then we can distribute enough grants to make an effective impact for our small businesses,” said Jay Ellis, Executive Director of the nonprofit revitalization group, Jeffersonville Main Street, Inc.
